Ever since then gradually gaining its popularity- it has reached its present utmost popular state. Now let me tell you a bit about it in a way so that it could be easily understandable for you. Besides, the most popular social media site, Facebook is another good example of it.
How does it function?
To start with the functionality of it, we can say applications "in the cloud" include computers and standard Internet browsers through which provider can install and operate application software to access them from any location by its users. Though naturally no special software is needed for it, but sometimes some cloud-based apps or certain browsers are required for various applications.
Cloud computing encompasses different service models; three most common models are as follows:
Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS): This model offers storage and compute resources. IT Companies or developers offer it to its seekers for their various business solutions. Here users freely create their own virtual computer cluster. Users are to be responsible for the selection and installation of their supportive software. This basic model includes virtual machines such as raw (block) storage, load balancers, firewalls, and networks.
Platform as a Service (PaaS): This model includes a computing platform and a solution stack for operating system. The providers offer programming language execution environment, database, and web server. This model enables its users accessing of programming environments with dynamic, flexible, customizable screens and data capacity.
Software as a Service (SaaS): In this model the cloud providers install, operate and offer collections of application software and application programs to their cloud users through internet. The users access software from the cloud.
